Announcing the ISLAND TRADEWINDS Specials
In our continued effort to create meaningful opportunities for our members to enjoy, Infosec Island is currently developing a new feature that will leverage the buying power of our large membership base.
The ISLAND TRADEWINDS program will highlight innovative new security products and services, as well as those from established vendors, at significantly discounted rates which will be offered exclusively to our registered members.
In developing the new feature, we are seeking input from the Island community regarding the frequency at which these exclusive offers should be broadcast via email notifications.
Infosec Island was established to serve our membership, and we appreciate the fact that everyone is bombarded with high volumes of emails on a daily basis. This is why we have always communicated with our members as infrequently as possible through this medium.
We are proposing a bi-monthly distribution of the ISLAND TRADEWINDS offers, and invite you to register your opinion in our latest member poll located in the center column of the website near the middle of the main page.
Thank you for helping us design the ISLAND TRADEWINDS feature in such a way as to be of optimal value.

RSA Conference 2011
The RSA Conference was a fantastic event, and Infosec Island provided several lucky members with all-access Delegate Passes to the conference. The passes were awarded in our Q4 2010 membership drawing.
Infosec Island's own Anthony M. Freed was also at the conference conducting interviews with some of the presenters and vendors in attendance, including Matt Alderman of Qualys, Internet Security Alliance President Larry Clinton, Cox Communications CISO Phil Agcaoili, Online Trust Alliance President Craig Spiezle, Ben Rothke of BT Global, Chris Blask of AlienVault, and the author of "Surviving Cyber War" Richard Stiennon. Just click on the subject's name to go to the video.
Anthony will be attending several leading industry conferences this year to conduct more interviews. If you are speaking at an upcoming event, or are with a vendor who is exhibiting, please contact us to discuss arrangements for a video interview.
The next event scheduled is the Cyber Security Strategies Summit which takes place May 10-12, 2011, in Washington, D.C. The event is tailored to a wide spectrum of stakeholders including small business, enterprise and government security officers across every vertical, and we encourage you to attend.
