"#BSidesCapeTown December 3rd 2011: Security fun!
When: Saturday, December 3, 2011
Where: University of Cape Town
Registration: None - open to all
About the Event
Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members.
The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration.
It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening. You don’t want to miss it!
B-Sides Cape Town will attempt to offer a healthy environment where some of Cape Town (and hopefully South African) security professionals, system administrators, network administrators, and anyone with a healthy interest in Information Security can come together for one day to listen to some interesting, if not sometimes slightly offbeat presentations and topics relating to information security.
It will offer the opportunity to meet and engage with other people in the field, make connections and share ideas, with the hope of fostering closer co-operation in the information security field.
