Starting September 19 at some point in the afternoon, Sophos successfully became the lamest virus ever.

An update put out by their auto-update service has rendered many machines across the world useless.

This update seems to have detected part of itself and many other files as false positives and either deleted or quarantined them.

It is always great to have a virus you’ve paid for that expressly tells you that it is not like the other viruses out there and it will, in fact, protect you from the other viruses. Sounds like some pop-ups I know.
